CRP-SEP®
Slop Water Separator
The Compass Water Solutions® CRP-SEP® Slop Water Separator is engineered to efficiently free oils, low-volume solids and entrained air from slop water, ensuring compliance with U.S. and international discharge standards for offshore operations. This system delivers less than 15 ppm of free oil through a plate-type coalescing matrix by efficiently removing non-soluble oils, low-volume solids and entrained air from slop water on FPSOS, FSOs and offshore rigs to meet United States 40CFR 435. Our SPIR-O-LATOR® can be added on to guarantee less than 5 ppm for overboard discharge to meet MEPC.107 (49).
This system sends oil through a “torturous path” of gravitational separation and the coalescing matrix to separate oil towards three oil sensing probes. Electricity flows through three probes until oil covers the probes, igniting the discharge process to pressurize the oil to a dirty oil tank and flush the bottom of the tank with clean water.
