SAREX® VG-SEP™

Oily-water separators are key devices in removing oil and other pollutants from bilge water that accumulates in a ship’s hull.  Regulation MEPC.107(49) requires that bilge water discharge into the sea must not exceed 15 parts per million (ppm) of oil content. With oil content being required to stay below 15 ppm, these devices are necessary for preventing marine pollution. SAREX® VG-SEP™ system excels in delivering discharge with less than 15 ppm, while being a compact design.

• Separator utilizes highly efficient coalescer technology with filter elements to meet MEPC.107 (49) requirements for removal of emulsified hydrocarbons.
• Designed for vessels with a limited footprint, such as yachts, tugs and towboats, this system is flexible to fit into your current floor on or off skid.
• Coalescer technology removes oil and emulsification from contaminated bilge water passing through easily removable 5 micron particle filters and proprietary adsorbing emulsified oil filters to produce overboard discharge of less than 15 ppm.
